Here are some of the phrases that I’ve heard on multiple occasions and always make me smile:
- do the needful (perform the requested action)
- abababa (oh my!)
- mention not (no problem)
- many happy returns of the day (happy birthday)
- you people (ya’ll)
- that fellow (that guy)
- I have a doubt (I have a question)
- what is your good name? (what’s your name?)
I’ve also heard “only” added to the end of a sentence for emphasis. For example, “I want to go now only.”
